Nicole Grassi, DDS
Passion for Dentistry Dr. Grassi’s passion for dentistry began during her lengthy orthodontic treatment as a child. She developed excellent oral hygiene to avoid being caught with a plaque in her braces. She valued how her own smile transformation positively affected her self-confidence and chose to pursue dentistry when she started college. Dr. Grassi has worked in many offices as an associate and felt scheduling and appointment times didn’t always allow for the depth of education that patients need. Patients in these offices would often have a history of having cavities treated one year just to develop a few more in the next few years. This is a cycle that will persist until the cause is identified. Dr. Grassi knew dentistry could be done differently. Patients want and deserve a healthy smile. We just have to show them how. She has made it her mission to provide her community with exceptional, informative, and thorough dental care. Education & Associations After graduating from University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Grassi completed her general practice residency at Jersey City Medical Center. With her experience in dentistry, Dr. Grassi gained a lot of involvement with facial cosmetics through the facial laceration repair she performed in the emergency room. She completed a 1-year oral surgery fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx, NY, where she trained in advanced techniques for implant placement, bone grafting, and other dental surgery. Dr. Grassi also performed more than enough IV- sedation cases to obtain her Certification for Parenteral Sedation in New York State. She’s a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, holds a Fellowship at the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Home Life After dental school and residency Dr. Grassi lived and worked in and around NYC for 5 years before returning home to the Syracuse area to be closer to family. She enjoys spending summer weekends in Alexandria Bay with her family, and loves any opportunity to travel, learn, and see something new. In her free time she loves staying active, keeping up on her continuing education, and lounging with her two dogs, Chooch and Reggie (a Cairn Terrier and French Bulldog).
