Here at Syracuse Podiatry, we offer the latest treatments in foot and ankle care to help get you back on your feet as quickly as possible both pain and worry-free. Dr. Ryan D'Amico, Dr.Donal Erikson, and Dr. Keith Sherman ensure all our patients receive the best foot and ankle care. It's our philosophy to make sure our patients not only receive the best care, but that we also educate our patients so they can take preventative care of their feet. Our office is conveniently located in East Syracuse, NY and has been designed with your comfort in mind while using state-of-the art technology and equipment. Located in the heart of the greater Syracuse area right in Onondaga County, we offer total family foot and ankle care 5 days a week, with Saturday morning hours for your convenience! We also welcome walk-ins and emergencies. Dr. D'Amico treats all foot and ankle conditions including but not limited to diabetic foot care, sprains and fractures, ingrown and fungal nails, ulcers, bunions, hammertoes, reconstructive surgery, custom made orthotics, diagnostic ultrasound, heel pain and spurs, arthritic conditions, deformities, warts corns and callouses, and dermatological disorders. Our office also offers digital x-rays and diabetic shoes. We at Syracuse Podiatry are pledged to improve the quality of life through the treatment of foot and ankle disorders.   • Ryan L. D’Amico, DPM

    Dr. Ryan D’Amico completed his undergraduate studies at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. He then attended Podiatry School at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine for 4 years, moving on to complete his 3-year residency at Western Reserve Care System from 2007 to 2010, where he specialized in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr. D’Amico is a native of Syracuse and loves practicing podiatry and caring for his patients. The son of a podiatrist, Dr. D’Amico and his wife are avid dog lovers and bleed Syracuse Orange.

  • Donal M. Erickson, DPM

    Donal M. Erickson, DPM was born in Albany, NY and was raised by incredibly supportive and loving parents. He also has two of the best younger brothers anyone could ever ask for. They provided him with the love, resources, and guidance to allow him to get to where he is today. He completed his undergraduate studies at Syracuse University (Go Orange!), where he graduated magna cum laude with Renée Crown honors for his BS in biotechnology. His aunt, Dr. Amelia Erickson was an inspiration to him since a young age and caused him to have an interest in medicine. Following undergraduate, he attended New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Harlem, NY, where he obtained his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. Following school, he completed his 3-year residency in podiatric medicine and surgery with reconstructive rearfoot and ankle at Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial hospital in Binghamton, NY. He had the pleasure and honor of being trained by a true giant in the field of podiatry, Dr. Guido LaPorta. He is incredibly excited to be starting employment at Syracuse Podiatry and serving an area that he loves. In his free time, Donal and his wife Kimberly enjoy traveling, camping, boating, hiking, skiing, craft beer, brewing beer, watching “Doctor Who”, and rooting for the NY Giants and Syracuse Orange. They are expecting their first child at the end of summer 2019.

  • Keith Sherman, DPM

    Podiatrist

    Dr. Keith Sherman was born and raised in Framingham, Massachusetts and he is an avid Boston sports fan. Keith is a lifelong athlete and his passion for podiatry comes from his own experiences sustaining foot and ankle injuries while playing sports growing up. Keith received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Brandeis University, and he attended New York College of Podiatric Medicine for Podiatry School. Keith then completed his 3-year residency in podiatric medicine and forefoot, reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at Metropolitan Hospital in New York City, where he served as Chief Resident. Outside of the office, Keith and his wife love to get outdoors and hike, ski, ride bikes, travel and explore new places, play and watch sports (Go Orange!), and spend time with family and friends.

  • Anne-Louise Smith, DPM

    Podiatrist

    Dr. Anne-Louise Smith was born and spent most of her life living in a suburb of Montréal, Canada. She graduated from the podiatry school in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec in 2016. After graduating, she worked one year as a podiatrist in private practice in Terrebonne, Quebec. She decided to pursue surgical podiatric training in the United States and attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2017. After graduation from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2019, she went on to complete a three year podiatric surgical residency at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. She is fluent in both her native language of French, as well as English. She firmly believes in establishing a trusting relationship with her patients to give them the best personalized care. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, skiing, shopping, baking, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

  • Justin Muser, DOM

    Podiatrist

    Dr. Justin Muser was born in Skaneateles, NY, but lived most of his life outside Allentown, PA. He attended Penn State University where he obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Economics in 2013. After completing his undergraduate degree, he initially was employed as a Project Engineer in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry. Wanting to be involved in direct patient care, he changed career pathways and enrolled at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He graduated from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2019 and completed a three year podiatric surgical residency at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton, NY. As a clinician, he is dedicated to provide the best care to his patients with both surgical and nonsurgical modalities. Aside from work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, following his favorite sports teams (We Are Penn State!), playing guitar, and traveling.
